This lovely card was produced in the UK by John Player & Sons Ltd. in 1940. It is card number
3 from a set of 25 cards
entitled "Dogs". The card was meant to be given as a free premium but was never issued due to
the paper shortage
caused by WW2. The front of the card shows a picture of the Beagle drawn by the famous artist
Arthur Wardle
while
the back of the card has a brief description of this breed.
