This silk was issued in various countries
by the British American Tobacco Co. Ltd in 1913. It is from a set of 50 silks entitled
"Best Dogs of Their Breed-Silk". The silk was given as a free premium and
inserted into a packet of cigarettes. The front of the silk shows a drawing of the
champion Field Spaniel "Matford Scout"
while the backing has a few details of
its lineage. |
