Trade Card 1961

This delightful card was issued in various countries by Liebig's Extract of Meat Co. in 1961. It is from a set of six cards entitled "Breeds of Dogs II". The card was given as a free premium with Liebig's Extract of Meat (Oxo). The front of the card shows an artist drawn picture of the German Shepherd and Bouvier while the back of the card has details of the product. The Liebig Company (founded 1856) is the world's most prolific issuer of cards for collectors. In the period from 1872 to 1973 they issued over 1800 sets of cards in many different languages usually in sets of six. These cards are sought by collectors all over the world. This company is now owned by Brooke Bond Tea who continue to issue sets of cards.

This 42 year old card is in Excellent condition.
