This card was issued in the USA by H. Ellis & Co. in 1890. It is one of the FIRST dog cards ever
produced! It is made
of thicker card which was originally meant to be used as a "stiffener" to prevent the cigarettes
from being crushed. It is
from a set of 25 cards entitled "Breeds of Dogs". The front of the card shows a colored artist
drawn picture of the
Gordon Setter
while the back has the issuer and a list of other breeds in the set.. This card was
given as a free premium
with the purchase of Bengal Cheroots. A very scarce card!

Postage and packing is US$1.50
