Tobacco Card 1890

This card was issued in the USA by Goodwin & Co. in 1890. It is one of the FIRST dog cards ever produced! It is made of thicker card which was originally meant to be used as a "stiffener" to prevent the cigarettes from being crushed. It is an unnumbered card from a set of 50 cards entitled "Dogs of the World". The front of the card shows a colored artist drawn picture of the Irish Terrier while the back has the issuer. This card was given as a free premium with the purchase of cigarettes. A fairly scarce card!

This 113 year old card is in
Very Good condition, but has some  paper damage on the back.
