This card was issued in Denmark by Cope Bros. in
1912. It is card number 19 from a set of 50 cards entitled "Dogs of the World (the very scarce
Scandanavian issue)". The front of the card shows a delightful picture of the Irish Wolfhound drawn by
the famous artist Cecil Aldin, R.B.A. while the back has a brief description of the breed (in Danish).
The card was given as a free premium with the purchase of cigarettes. It is quite a scarce card. |
Postage and packing is US$1.50
for any number of cards!! |
