This card is a reprint which was issued in the UK by the Card Collectors Society in 2000 and
was
produced for its members only. With permission
the remainder of these limited cards is now
available.
The card is an officially authorized reproduction produced by Imperial Publishing under license
from the
Imperial Tobacco Company. The original cards were issued by F. & J. Smith in 1908. This is
card number
29 from a set of 50 cards entitled "Fowls
Pigeons & Dogs". The original card was given as a free
premium and inserted into a packet of cigarettes. The front of the card shows an artist drawn
picture of
the Otterhound
while the back of the card has a brief description of the breed.
